Responsibilities:
- Work with clients in developing manuscripts for peer-related journals and other highly-technical medical communications
- Conduct research concerning a variety of therapeutic areas
- Attend medical conferences and advisory boards on an as-needed basis and provide comprehensive summaries
- Educate agency personnel regarding various disease states
- Provide and manage content for Web portal serving medical professionals
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in a variety of therapeutic areas
- Assist creative teams in evaluating messages for both consumer and professional audiences
Requirements:
- Experience in writing manuscripts for peer review journals
- Ability to quickly grasp the intricacies of a variety of therapeutic areas
- Extensive experience working with key opinion leaders
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in effectively training non-medical personal about complex medical conditions
- A desire and ability to work in a creative environment
- Highly self-motivated and an ability to be self-directed
- Strong medical research skills
- Experience in writing both consumer and professional materials
- Experience in developing Web-based communications
Desired:
- Experience in therapeutic areas of chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, asthma, fibroproliferative conditions, dermatology, oncology, rheumatoid arthritis and respiratory/pulmonary
- Experience working in a creative agency
- PhD in medical related field preferred
